An American Springfield “Trapdoor” riffel pattern 1870 number 43534 in calibre 50–70 marked 1865, eagle with arrows and SPRINGFIELD 1865 on the lock plate. The trapdoor is marked 1870, eagles head and 1870. The barrel is c 83 cm long and the stock has four inspectors marks as well a 3 between the lock screws.

The iron somewhat sptted and the stock with some signs of use.
