Part of the Office-2000 series, developed as elements of architecture, designed as an extension of Bodil Kjær's acclaimed “Office Desk”, which was created during her work for CI Designs, Boston, 1959. Literature: Peter Beck: “Det essentielle: Arkitekt Bodil Kjær om sine internationale arbejder 1950–2000” (The Essential: Architect Bodil Kjær on Her International Design 1950–2000), p. 59. “The openness and flexibility that was characteristic of many of the leaders that architect Bodil Kjær encountered during the planning of the office became the indirect catalyst for the development of the office furniture, now known as the “2000 series”. The architect reasons that open and flexible people would function better in an open and flexible physical environment and therefore designed, in collaboration with these types of users, a series of office furniture for leaders: The idea was that each person can choose his or her furniture and design a working environment that suits him or her best.”
