Delve into the world of Omega chronograph watches beyond the popular Speedmaster and one will uncover an intriguing collection of earlier and more elusive timepieces. Prior to the well-known calibre 321, Omega’s most esteemed chronograph movement was known as the calibre 33.3, also manufactured by Lemania. Produced between 1933 and 1952, these beautiful timepieces numbered approximately 14.000 in total. The example seen here includes a black gilt dial displaying a timeless elegance, a remarkable example of the functional design language prevalent in the early 1940s. Notably, the dial also features the inscription ‘’fab. Suisse’’, indicative of its unique history. Omega watches bearing this signature were exclusively made for the French market, lending them an added air of rarity and distinction.
