Russian silvergilt and nielloed cup, decorated with two medallions with Kreml and Peter the Great respectively, surrounded by flowers and foliage. Maker's mark TC, assayer Michael Chumazov 1844, Moscow town mark, 84 standard. Weight 151 gr. H. 8.5 cm.
Provenance: Seller's grandfather, Oscar Kosslar, who was a liqueur manufacturer in Irkutsk around 1900–1930. His two daughters were both married to Danes, who worked respectively at the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Great Northern Telegraph Company. The families later moved to Denmark.
Wear due to age and use. The reverse scratched 33 1/2 (presumably scratch weight)
