A Chinese export silver jewelry box and matching hand mirror, embossed with dragons chasing the flaming pearl and cloud formations, handle of the mirror also shaped as two dragons and a pearl. The rectangular jewelry box gilt on the interior. Luen Wo, Shanghai, end of 19th century. Mirror Diam. 13.5 cm. Box Weight 223 gr. L. 15 cm. (2)

Provenance: Director Emanuel Kinch who in the early 1890s was partner with H.N. Andersen, East Asiatic Company, inherited in the family.
