A Ningxia dragon temple pillar rug, Nothern China. Design depicting a blue winding five clawed dragon with a big wide tail and open mouth spewing smoke from its nose winds on a yellow ground with various Buddhist iconographies, low end with wave design capped by the sacred mountain. Top end with pearl border and full face devil head. Second half 20th century. 513×147 cm.
