French Belle Epoque silver magnifying glass, handle with openwork foliage set with marcasites, underneath translucent green enamel on guilloched ground. Apparently no maker's mark. Fineness 800. Early 20th century. In original case from A. Risler & Carre Paris. (2)
Provenance: From the collection of supreme court litigator Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen (1911–1998).
Minimal wear due to age and use, including few marks and scratches. The mounting between the front and back part of the handle could be little loose and the glass a tiny bit loose. Case with more marks and scratches.
