The present painting is a study for a larger oil painting from 1879 called “Trankogning ved Nymindegab” (Boiling Train Oil at Nymindegab, Jutland), which is located at Statens Museum for Kunst, inventory number KMS3202.

Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 424, 1981 no. 766.

Condition

A light surface cleaning is recommended.
