Robert Jacobsen (b. Copenhagen 1912, d. Egtved 1993)
Composition. Signed Robert Jacobsen. Hand-coloured engraving. Visible size 99×70 cm.
Literature: The work was created in the 1980s specifically for Lau Aabling, who was the director of Ege Artline at the time and a close friend of Robert Jacobsen. This handcolored engraving is the original piece for a serie that was later printed in a limited and numbered edition of silk screens and woven carpets for Ege Artline. Therefore, the work and its history can be seen as a unique collaboration between one of Denmark's most renowned artists and a leading Danish company in textile art.
Examined in frame. A few minimal stains on the upper edge outside of the motif. Glass frame with damage.
Please note: The item is subject to the Anti-Money Laundering Act. In the event of a hammer price of DKK 50,000 or more, including buyer’s premium, the buyer must submit a copy of a valid photo ID and proof of address in order to collect the item.
