This important and rare, limited edition commemorative album was published in honour of the 1883 Coronation of Tsar Alexander III and Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna. Only 500 copies were printed, 300 in Russian and 200 in French, to be presented as gifts to members of the Imperial family, figures in the court and foreign guests attending the ceremony. Designed and published in Russia, the albums is profusely illustrated with 26 full-page chromolithographed plates depicting key events and notable public figures, along with in text fine illustrations, vignettes, and decorations. The album has never been offered for sale.
