Gabriel Nuklyanen (, St. Petersburg 1908-1917)

A Russian 14k hammered gold cigarette case, lid adorned with the Russian Warrant, lock set a cabochoncut blue glass stone, interior engraved in Danish: “Present from Her Majesty Tsaritsa Marie Feodorovna to Baron N. Gersdorff 1/2 1910”. Gabriel Nyklyanen, St. Petersburg 1908–1917, 56 standard. Weight c. 80 gr. H. 9 cm. W. 6 cm.

Provenance: Present from Tsaritsa Maria Feodorovna of Russia (1847–1928) to the Danish-Russian Baron Nikolaj Nikolaievich Gersdorff (1857–1936). The Baron was furthermore Master of the Royal Danish Hunt, co-founder of the King's Life Hunting Corps and the Russian congregation in Copenhagen. Acquired by the present Danish owner two years ago.
