Konstantin Fedorovich Juon (b. Moscow 1875, d. s.p. 1958)

At Lipetsk Region Local History Museum is a work by Konstantin Fedorovich Juon with the title “Rolling at Shrovetide”. The picture at the museum is a watercolour with the measurements 31.5×48 cm and has the same motif as this present picture, however with several different details.

Provenance: Acquired by Gerda Schønnebech, née Rydemand, when she lived in Russia with her fiancé and later husband, Alfred Schønnebech. He worked here for Store Nordiske Telegrafselskab (the Great Northern Telegraph Company) in the years around the Russian revolution in 1917.
