Modern & Contemporary Art

The department valuates and provides advice on modern art from approx. 1920 and up to the present and includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, collages, prints and photography. The works belong to art movements such as Danish Modernism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, CoBrA, Minimalism, Pop Art and Contemporary Art. Particularly sought-after artists include Asger Jorn, Robert Jacobsen, Richard Mortensen, Egill Jacobsen, Carl-Henning Pedersen, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Corneille, Andy Warhol, Trine Søndergaard, Oluf Høst, Edvard Weie, Olaf Rude, Jais Nielsen, Vilhelm Lundstrøm, Wilhelm Freddie, Per Kirkeby, Kurt Trampedach, Maria Rubinke, Tal R, Michael Kvium, Poul Anker Bech, Cathrine Raben Davidsen, Anette Harboe Flensburg, Allan Otte, Martin Bigum, Julie Nord, Christian Lemmerz, Gun Gordillo and John Kørner.
