19th Century & Old Master Paintings
The department valuates and provides advice on Danish and international fine art, drawings, prints and sculptures from antiquity up to approx. 1920. The periods covered include, for example, the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, the Danish Golden Age, the Modern Breakthrough, Impressionism and Symbolism. Sought-after artists at the auctions include names such as Vilhelm Hammershøi, Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, Christen Købke, Johan Thomas Lundbye, Peder Severin Krøyer, Anna Ancher and Michael Ancher, Carl Holsøe, Peter Ilsted, Peder Mønsted, Nicolai Abildgaard, Martinus Rørbye, Wilhelm Marstrand, Constantin Hansen, Laurits Andersen Ring, Bertha Wegmann, Emilie Mundt, Johannes Larsen and Paul Fischer
- Fine art is sold at Online Auction every Monday at 8 pm and at Live Auction four times a year.
