At Bruun Rasmussen, we are happy to share that Janne Moltke-Leth has just been appointed as our new managing director. Under her leadership, our 76-year-old auction house aspires to attain new pinnacles of success, and her clear, strategic vision will bolster our position in both local and international art markets.

She brings with her extensive experience from prominent Danish brands, including as CEO of the upscale Kølpin Hotels chain and design firm Paustian, as well as Commercial Director at Copenhagen Airport. She currently also holds board positions at notable companies such as Sydbank and Royal Greenland.

Bruun Rasmussen is a renowned Danish company, which I have been familiar with since my childhood. The company is undergoing a significant transformation, and I look forward to working with Louise Arén to establish a fresh strategic vision that will propel the auction house confidently into its next era.

A Convergence of Talent and Expertise

The appointment of Janne Moltke-Leth brings together formidable talent and expertise. In May 2024, Louise Arén, CEO of the Swedish auction house Bukowskis and Bonhams Nordics, was appointed interim CEO of Bruun Rasmussen. This is a substantial strengthening of the Nordic auction market, and it is in cooperation with Louise Arén that Janne Moltke-Leth will spearhead a new business strategy, focusing on driving economic growth, exploring untapped markets and enhancing customer relationships.

I anticipate a highly productive partnership with Janne Moltke-Leth. Her visionary and targeted approach aligns with my own aspirations for this venerable Danish auction house, which now stands on the threshold of an even more commercial and customer-centric way of doing business.

A Significant Player in the Auction Market

Bruun Rasmussen’s reputation rests on a robust brand and a firm foundation, with unparalleled expertise in the valuation, buying and selling of art at auction. In 2022, the Bruun Rasmussen family sold the company to the British auction house Bonhams, integrating us into a vast international network and strengthening our global presence. In 2023, we moved from Bredgade and Nordhavn to far more modern and attractive premises in Lyngby.

With Janne Moltke-Leth at the helm, Bruun Rasmussen is in experienced hands. Her proven track record in business development and market insight aligns perfectly with our goal to further strengthen Bruun Rasmussen’s position in the auction market.”

Janne Moltke-Leth will take up her new position on 3 September.
