Contemporary Art Supports Børns Vilkår
On 30 April, Bruun Rasmussen and Curated by Jens-Peter Brask will be holding a major online charity auction, in favor of the Danish children’s rights organisation Børns Vilkår. Sharing a passion for contemporary art, Jens-Peter Brask, a number of the most influential names on the Danish contemporary art scene, and Bruun Rasmussen have teamed up to raise funds for Børns Vilkår.
Curated by Jens-Peter Brask curates art for private individuals, organisations, galleries and museums all over the world. Art and charity will merge to full effect when, in collaboration with Bruun Rasmussen, Curated by Jens-Peter Brask offers several contemporary works of art by a number of well-known Danish artists at Online Auction from 17–30 April. The objective is to support the work of Børns Vilkår for the well-being and development of children. Since 1987, Børns Vilkår has, among other things, operated “BørneTelefonen”, a helpline which children and young people can call for advice and guidance about various situations in their lives.
Contemporary Art and Demand
We’re seeing more and more contemporary art at our auctions, and names from the Danish and international contemporary art scene are in high demand. Contemporary art is very much in focus at Bruun Rasmussen. At the Online Auction, you can support the good cause and acquire art by leading Danish contemporary artists. You can, for example, bid on works by Agneta Bertram, Anders Brinch, Sune Christiansen, Stine Hvid, A Kassen, Alexander Tovborg and Stefania Wibling as well as a number of other significant contemporary artists and artist groups. Also included in the auction is a so-called “Mural Walk”, where Jens-Peter Brask talks about the murals of the urban space in Copenhagen’s Nordvest neighbourhood. The numerous works of art are estimated at between DKK 2,000 and DKK 60,000.

“Contemporary art is the newest art. And yet it often reveals a fascination with older art and old techniques. In our house in Lyngby, the contemporary and history constantly meet. With this auction, we are pleased once again to be able to support the important work of Børns Vilkår".
