We have put together a selection of art and design from our Online Auctions for you to explore.

In the beginning of the new year, you might feel the urge to spend time immersing yourself in the world of art and design. You can do just that at our Online Auctions. We have put together a handful of art and design to inspire you. The auctions will be accessible via our website from 4 pm on Thursday 22 December until 8 pm on 9 and 10 January respectively.

Graphic Artworks

Delve into our Modern Art Auction, which features paintings and graphic art by artists from the modern art era to today’s contemporary artists. The lots you can bid on include figurative and abstract lithographs by the French artist Maurice Estève, the Dutch artist Bram van Velde and the Chinese-American artist Walasse Ting.

Silver and Ceramics

Our Design Auctions always offer high-quality Danish design and craft art which will add both an aesthetic and an historic touch to your home. At this auction, you will, among other things, find decorative vases by Arne Bang, Christian Poulsen and Erik Plöen as well as a silver jug by Svend Weihrauch.

Erik Plöen: A tall earthenware vase modelled with relief decor. The outside decorated with white glaze, the inside with turquoise green glaze. Signed. Unique. H. 31.5 cm. Diam. 11.5 cm. Estimate: DKK 2.000-3.000.
Svend Weihrauch: Sterling silver jug with ebonite handle and foot rim. Weight 592 g. H. 19.8 cm. Estimate: DKK 5,000–6,000.
Arne Bang: Three small, fluted vases of stoneware modelled with vertical grooves in relief. Estimate: DKK 3.000.
Christian Poulsen: Round stoneware vase with blue-violet glaze. Signed. Unique. H. 15 cm. Diam. 14 cm. Estimate: DKK 4,000–6,000.

Portraits of Women and a Cloud Study

If we venture a little further back into the history of art at the Christmas auctions, you will find various paintings, including motifs of Danish nature and portraits of women. Among them are Kristian Zahrtmann’s portrait of an Italian woman, a Danish Golden Age painting of beautiful purple-blue clouds over a golden horizon, and Frans Schwartz’s charming woman with peacock feathers in her hat.
