The critics have almost been tripping over themselves to tell us just how perfect the Bordeaux wines from 2009 are, and that, without a shadow of a doubt, the vintage belongs in the same category as other legendary vintages, for instance 1982, 1961 and 1959. Rarely, has there been such broad consensus among the world’s leading wine critics, all of whom describe the vintage as being of extraordinarily high quality, from cru bourgeois level to the absolute top chateaux. As a result of this unanimity, Bordeaux 2009 is already considered to be something quite special in the minds of most Bordeaux enthusiasts – and was long before the wines were even bottled!

In cooperation with Østjysk vinforsyning/Vinoble, Bruun Rasmussen Wine Auctions invites you to a tasting of vintage 2009, followed by dinner at Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen on 31 May. The highlights of the tasting will include the Premier Crus Latour, Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild, which will be accompanied by a further 12 Grand Cru wines of the same vintage.

Skuespilhuset’s restaurant “Ofelia” will provide the three-course dinner that follows. The three Paulliacs, Latour, Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild, will be served with the main course, but this time, it will be the 20-year older vintage, 1989.
