Rococo bureau in walnut
This imposing rococo bureau in walnut is of Danish or north German origin. The bureau formerly stood in the Oslo Museum of Decorative Art in Norway and bears inventory no. OK 12 760. Both upper and lower parts bear the label: Christiania V. Fra Kongsberg 913. Subsequently, it was to form part of Merchant Louis Foght's collection. The bureau dates from the middle of the eighteenth century. Lot 1813.

Danish rococo bureau
Danish rococo bureau of walnut picked out in gold, curved contoured top, carved with rocaille, combing, flowers and vine leaves, including two contoured doors. Lower part with writing flap behind which are small drawers, door and mirror cabinet, under which there is a curved front with three large drawers, flared legs. Middle of eighteenth century. H. 249.
