Do the Best Wines Come to Those Who Wait?

It's Winter Time, It's Rhône Time!

It's dark and cold outside, and this often has us leaning towards the darker and slightly heavier wines. For many, the wines from Rhône are the preferred companion for the winter's simmering recipes and, not least, the challenging Christmas dinner. The sweetness of the wine’s fruit goes well with root vegetables, strong braising recipes and the sweet elements of the Christmas dinner. You can choose between everything from Gigondas to Rayas, several 100-point wines from Hermitage as well as the 1991 cult wine Cote-Rôtie ”Cote Brune” from Domaine Gentaz-Dervieux – which no longer exists. There are no less than 48 lots with Rhône wines to choose from here.

Bordeaux Once More

You can bid on a total of 186 lots of both mature and younger Bordeaux wines. The reason for the large selection is that we are still selling beautiful mature wines from several amazing wine cellars with optimal storage conditions.

There are many whole cases from the 1980s that are now perfect for consumption, and several of them are priced at less than DKK 300 per bottle. We cannot recommend enough that you allow yourself to indulge in these wines, since the price and quality are unbeatable.

From a special manor house cellar, we present true rarities in the shape of Cheval Blanc in 1948, 1949, 1955 vintages in Magnum size. Almost as rare are the 1947, 1948, 1952, 1955 magnum and 1959 vintages from Mouton Rothschild! View the 14 lots here.

And There Is Even More

At the previous auction, we saw something as rare as a hammer price record for a wine. A total of DKK 290,000 was achieved by a case with six magnum bottles from 1987 from Domaine de la Romanée Conti. We can also present two more wine lots from DRC that come from the same cellar. The bottles are in just as fine condition as the record-setting wines, so don’t hold back on the bidding. The five magnum bottles also have the fine serial numbers 000001, 000002, 000003, 000004 and 000005 – even though they consist of two different wines.
