The Fashion Specialist's Own FavouritesKatrin Mikkelsen Sørensen has chosen three of her favourites from the large selection of the auction. It has been almost 90 years since Hermès introduced their "Kelly" bag, formerly called the "sac à dépêches". The model remains one of the most iconic designs of the world, and this status can undeniably be attributed to one person: the actress Grace Kelly, who was not only one of Hermès' many prominent fans but also ended up making the handbag world famous. The rise to fame for the accessory item occurred after she was photographed in 1956 by a paparazzi while holding this particular model in front of her in an attempt to hide her pregnant belly from the public. The picture went around the world and ended on the front page of Life Magazine. Since then the handbag has been known simply as a "Kelly". |

Summer Goodies from Chanel and Limited Edition by Louis VuittonThe auction selection also includes a large number of elegant handbags from Chanel, such as the timeless "Classic Double Flap Bag". If you are more into the classic look with a little edge, a handbag and a wallet from the Parisian fashion house in matching coral patent leather might be just the thing. Louis Vuitton first teamed up with FIFA in 2010 to create a luxurious leather case in which the winners of the World Cup could store their historic trophy. The same was true at the tournament in Russia in 2018, where the brand also presented a new, exclusive collection of travel bags. With the special hexagon pattern, the bags almost resemble the surface of a football. The travel bags are today only available in a very limited number, and at this auction, you have the opportunity to bid on a version in blue and white leather. |
