Contemporary Artists Donate Works for Refugees

A number of works by Tal R, Olafur Eliasson, Michael Kvium, Kirstine Roepstorff, Superflex, HuskMitNavn and many more are set to go under the hammer at a charity auction at Charlottenborg on Saturday 22 August. In the meantime, you can bid on the works here at bruun-rasmussen.dk.

The auction aims to raise funds for the Trampoline House, which for almost 10 years has served as a meeting place for refugees with a focus on preparing them for citizenship through job training and cultural events. However, the house is currently facing serious financial problems, which could have major consequences for their work. The auction is therefore important, so please do submit a bid if you wish to support their continued work and at the same time become the owner of a contemporary work of art. Read more about the Trampoline House.

Malene Landgren: “Farvesoldat” (Colour soldier), 2018. Acrylic on canvas. Estimate: DKK 6,000–8,000.
Kaspar Bonnén: “No Title 3”. Signed and numbered. Ed. 120 ex. Lithography. Estimate: DKK 2,000-3,000.

The lots up for auction include works in all price ranges by 95 of the most prominent Danish and international contemporary artists. All the proceeds from the auction will go towards the Trampoline House’s work with refugees, and Bruun Rasmussen will not be charging fees to buyers or sellers in connection with the auction.

How to Submit a Bid

You can view all the works and bid on them at bruun-rasmussen.dk. All bids received will be included at a Live Auction, which will take place on Saturday 22 August from 1–4 pm in the Assembly Hall of Charlottenborg Palace on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen.
