Visit Bruun Rasmussen During Art Week

At the end of May, the festival Copenhagen Art Week will take over the Danish capitol. In this connection, Bruun Rasmussen will open the doors to our historical premises at Bredgade 33, where we welcome you to four days of talks on art and design.

Thorvald Bindesbøll: A unique earthenware Art Nouveau dish. Estimate: DKK 80,000-100,000.

Kaare Klint, Edvardt Kindt-Larsen: "Mix". A Cuban mahogany easy chair. Estimate: DKK 125,000-150,000.

You can also listen to several presentations and talks, where our experts will present a number of highlights from the auction:

  • Thursday 23 May at 3pm: “Behind the scenes – working with modern art at Bruun Rasmussen” by the Department of Modern Art.

  • Saturday 25 May at 12pm: “Walk & Talk: Modern art and contemporary art” by Niels Boe-Hauggaard, Specialist in Modern Art.

  • Saturday 25 May at 2pm: “Walk & Talk: Danish design” by Peter Kjelgaard, Head of the Modern Design Department.

  • Sunday 26 May at 2pm: “Walk & Talk: Modern art and contemporary art” by Kathrine Eriksen, Specialist in Modern Art, and Christine Almlund, Specialist in Photography.

All events will be held in Danish.

Come by the Preview!

During Art Week, we also invite you to the preview for our Live Auction, which takes place from 28 May to 7 June. At the preview, you can get a closer look at the large selection of art, design, antiques, jewellery and wristwatches that will be up for auction.

The preview is open during the following hours:

  • Thursday 23 May at 3-6pm

  • Friday 24 May at 11am-5pm

  • Saturday 25 May at 11am-4pm

  • Sunday 26 May at 11am-4pm

  • Monday 27 May at 11am-5pm
