Children’s Furniture in Aid of Mødrehjælpen

A number of pieces of children’s furniture by Børge Mogensen have been decorated by the artist HuskMitNavn (RememberMyName) and will be auctioned off to raise money for Mødrehjælpen’s (Mothers’ Aid) Christmas fund.

The Danish supermarket chain Irma and the furniture company FDB Møbler have joined forces to put the unique children’s furniture up for auction at 6:30 pm on 13 November here at bruun-rasmussen.dk.

We think that Irma and FDB Møbler came up with a great idea: To decorate some iconic pieces of children’s furniture, to sell them at auction and to donate all the proceeds to our partner, Mødrehjælpen,” explains Irma director Søren Steffensen. Ole Kiel, director of FDB Møbler, adds “For FDB Møbler, it’s about combining classic design with a contemporary, modern look. The combination of Børge Mogensen and HuskMitNavn is truly unique.

A Helping Hand for Children at Christmas

The artist HuskMitNavn’s fabulous decoration of the furniture is colourful and depicts happy, friendly animal faces. Speaking about the project, he says: “I’m delighted to support the work of Mødrehjælpen with the sale of Irma’s Børge Morgensen furniture. Christmas, in particular, is a time when a lot of people need an extra helping hand to make ends meet.

At Bruun Rasmussen, we also look forward to doing our bit by selling the children’s furniture, and thereby supporting Mødrehjælpen: “Bruun Rasmussen is a company where traditions mean something. There is no tradition greater than Christmas, I suppose, so we’re more than happy to help others feel a little extra warmth in the festive season,” says Alexa Bruun Rasmussen.

The entire proceeds of the auction will go to Mødrehjælpen. FDB Møbler has donated the children’s furniture, and Bruun Rasmussen will be selling it at auction without charging any commission.
