Cartier's Elegant Panther

Are you dreaming of elegant jewellery from Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany, Georg Jensen or Ole Lynggaard? Then you should come by the autumn's international auction. One of the highlights is Cartier's impressive "Panthère" brooch, estimated at DKK 450,000-500,000.

At the upcoming jewellery auction, we follow up on the great results of the summer auction, where we set a new world record as we sold Cartier's panther bangle for DKK 1.2 million. This time we offer a rare diamond panther brooch of the same calibre. It is very vivid in its expression with eyes of emeralds, black spots of onyx and a body full of diamonds. The Brooch is estimated at DKK 450,000-500,000 but has a retail price of DKK 1.2 million.

Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847, and the company has since then produced some of the world's most exclusive jewellery and wristwatches. The panther was used for the first time as a decorative element in a wristwatch in 1914. The animal has become an iconic trademark of the jewellery house and a symbol of the feminine, powerful and elegant expression that is so characteristic of Cartier.

The legendary panther brooch is available in only a handful of copies and has several elegant details. In addition to the many beautifully processed precious stones totalling approx. 4.014 ct., the panther's head and forepaws are moveable.
