Strude Girls Looking for Company

At the auction in Bredgade this September, we present a group of the Danish photographer Trine Søndergaard’s beautiful Fanø girls from the series “Strude”. We would like to present them in the best kind of company, and we are therefore now looking for even more photographic, high-end contemporary artwork for the auction.

The Strude (a traditional local hood and mask) that the Fanø girl is wearing in Trine Søndergaard's beautiful photograph almost makes you a little jealous, since it has truly been a Danish summer worthy of Strude headgear, where we have mostly experienced rain, wind and record-low temperatures for the month of July!

Bredgade Open - Indoor Event in Good Company

If you yourself are looking for good company and something to do inside during the capricious summer weather in Copenhagen, then we also have you covered! The summer will soon be over and ahead of us awaits the high season for auctions as well as art events - and many of these will be presenting fine photographic art.

Together with the rest of the galleries and cultural institutions in Bredgade, Bruun Rasmussen will once again participate in the Bredgade Open event on Friday, 18 August. Here the focus will be on new art and young artists. Selected works by rising stars from the Danish contemporary art scene will adorn our rooms at Bredgade 33 in Copenhagen, and the works will be sold at an online auction on Tuesday, 22 August.

At the same auction, we also present a series of photographs by Georg Oddner, Olafur Eliasson, Roger Ballen and Jakob Hunesøe. You can also bid on the works from Friday, 11 August and they can be viewed at our locations in Nordhavn up until the auction on 22 August (remember to check the individual works for specific preview times and locations).
