Debut for a Dream Wine

The first half of 2017 is nearly over, but before we jump into the month of July, we have room for a very exciting Auction 1725, packed with delicious wine in all your favourite categories.

La Romanée and “Winston Churchill” 1979

We start with a debutant, since we are bursting with pride at being able to offer a whole case of La Romanée 2014 from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair. A second superb newcomer is a magnum of Pol Roger’s “Winston Churchill” 1979 – a very rare bottle in absolutely tip-top condition. The auction also boasts a number of whole cases of Bordeaux 1. Cru, a Romanée-Conti from 1972 and an unopened case of d’Yquem 2001. These bottles will probably not appeal to everyone due to the cost of acquisition. However, lot no. 3056 proves there’s wine in every price category. This lot comprises 58 half-bottles of white Burgundy 2013 with a starting price of DKK 1,000, albeit with full VAT.

The Other Wines up for Auction

We start auction 1725 with a very large section for champagne, including an impressive array of predominantly older Bollinger dating back to 1959. In the red Burgundy section, we offer exciting lots from DRC, Liger-Belair, Olivier Bernstein, Rousseau, Groffier, Roumier, etc. The Burgundy section includes items such as Léoville Las Cases with more recent top vintages and whole cases of La Fleur-Petrus. Rhône, Italy, the US and Australia also offer numerous exciting lots. From the latter region, we have some highly acclaimed wines from Greenock Creek. Ten wines altogether, in seven lots.

We hope you will find Auction 1725 on 25 June (8 pm start) just as exciting as we do!
