Among the auction's 340 lots you will find extremely rare wines, which only a select few ever get the chance to taste. This applies to the 1982 Barolo Riserva "Monfortino" from Giacomo Conterno. The 35-year-old magnum bottle comes from an incredibly exquisite Danish private collection. Despite its age, it appears in top condition and with an almost untouched label - and insanely beautiful Barolo!
Breathtaking Champagnes
From the same private cellar come two very rare bottles of champagne. One is a 1969 Comtes de Champagne, Taittinger in a Magnum Bottle. The inside of the bottle has some deposits that have stained the glass, but the wine appears completely bright and clear. A very gorgeous wine from a very notable vintage, which we can rightly say is so rare that we have never seen it before.
The other champagne mentioned above is one that we have sold before, but it definitely deserves to be highlighted here as well, since it is nothing less than a breathtaking wine. We are speaking of the 1982 Salon Le Mesnil, which is completely bright and clear in colour. A bottle that is very hard to procure, but which everyone should have the opportunity to taste.
James Bond’s Dom Perignon
Particularly worth noting is also a 1955 Dom Perignon from a Scandinavian private cellar. An exquisite example of an iconic bottle that guest stars in the James Bond movie "Thunderball", where Bond orders it with Beluga Caviar at Café Martinique in Nassau. If you want to recreate this scene, the wine is (almost) within your reach.
There are of course a multitude of other delights hidden in this impressive selection, so go explore and find your next bottle.

Bordeaux 2016
As usual, we have been in Bordeaux to taste the new vintage, which in the coming period will be offered "en primeur" from the négociants in Bordeaux. It is a classic Bordeaux vintage of a high quality, where the big vineyards have fabulous wine in stock. You can look forward to reading more about this vintage very soon.
Sincerely,
Anders, Morten, Thomas and Henrik
