Top notch wines

Auction 1443 is a must for any wine aficionado. We have been lucky enough to receive four private consignments, which together go a long way to meeting the needs of the modern-day wine enthusiast. Not until lot 3113 will we get to the red Bordeaux wines, but before that you will be presented with a vast section of champagnes and the best of the red and white Burgundies.

There, you will find top champagnes from Bollinger, Veuve Clicquot, Krug, Taittinger, Louis Roederer and Moët et Chandon; not to mention top white Burgundies from Domaine Leflaive, DRC, Ramonet and Comtes Lafon. The red Burgundies are headed by DRC, Liger-Belair, Rousseau and Méo-Camuzet. There is also an incredible array of other top notch wines in these sections, guaranteed to delight in any vinous context.

Exquisite rarities

A Château d’Yquem 1937 is something you see once in a blue moon, but it’s here this time! More than 60 lots of Premier Cru Bordeaux are also up for auction, including legends such as Château Lafite Rothschild 1949, 1959 and 1982 and more than 40 lots solely of Château Mouton Rothschild. Fans of this château must be ecstatic! The Bordeaux section also features 12 Léoville Poyferré 1982, Gruaud Larose 1947, Palmer 1959, Batailley 1947, 1953, 1955 and 1959, Ausone 1959, 1982 and 2009, Cheval Blanc 1949 and 1985 and Le Pin 1989 and 1990. All of the above château-bottled wines are in good condition and come with our warmest recommendation.

The other wines up for auction testify to the fact that, just because you haven’t been given separate column space in this humble newsletter, it doesn’t mean you’re not incredibly exciting.
