A philatelist’s dream!

November is very much about stamps, with the prospect of no fewer than four auctions, offering you the opportunity to bid on more than 3,000 lots of philatelic temptations.

NORDIA 2012

This year’s international stamp exhibition “NORDIA 2012” is celebrating Kjøbenhavns Philatelist Klub’s (Copenhagen Philatelist Club) 125th anniversary, and we have the pleasure of hosting the official anniversary auction. It takes place at 1 pm on Saturday 3 November, but on our website, you can already start bidding on the 125 lots up for auction, featuring a diverse selection of stamps and postal history from the Nordic countries. The bids received at the online auction will be the start prices at the anniversary auction at the exhibition.

The auction takes place at Roskilde Congress Centre, Møllehusvej 15 in Roskilde. The preview takes place from 10 am – 5 pm on Wednesday 31 October and Thursday 1 November at our department at Baltikavej 10 in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn.

Online auction 1244

November also offers ample opportunity for you to supplement your collection with Norwegian material at the current online auction 1244. The auction features 171 lots, the majority of which are the second part of a large private collection which has not been touched here in Denmark for the past 80 years or so. The emphasis is on classic material with a plethora of shilling stamps and fine early post horns.

Bids can be submitted now – the final hammer falls from 6 pm on Sunday 4 November. Visit the preview at Baltikavej from 10 am – 5 pm on Thursday 1 November and from 10 am – 3.30 pm on Friday 2 November.

International auction 833

On 6–7 November, we invite you to join us for this autumn’s international stamp auction, at which 1,019 exquisite objects and rarities will go under the hammer at Baltikavej. The items up for auction include everything from a fine section of package postage and stamps from the Danish West Indies of particularly high quality, to city post from Svend Marker’s collection, attractive lots of classical England, and not least an extremely rare Chinese $5 stamp from 1897.

The preview takes place from Wednesday 31 October to Wednesday 7 November.
