Wine for those special spring occasions

If you are thinking about buying wines from your favourite region for a special occasion, Sunday’s auction is the place to make a really good purchase.

It all gets under way at 8 pm on Sunday evening, when we proudly present a very nice selection of the world’s finest wines. What’s more, many of them come in small, affordable lots. There are many highlights and rarities, but worth an extra special mention is the critically acclaimed Henriot “Le Premier” champagne 1959. According to the wine critics, that year, Henriot managed to produce one of world’s best ever champagnes, and they themselves will tell you that 1959 is their best year to date.

Château d’Yquem 1954 might never have been produced, and if Yquem had made vintage 1951, they probably would not have felt the need to make the 1954. But thank goodness they did as, according to the bulletins, this 1954 represents the best Bordeaux has to offer in the vintage.

Overall, the auction offers a wide range of attractive lots, with many special wines among them. Could we, for example, tempt you with a port from 1935 with a screw cap? Or Chateau Rouget, Pomerol 1929, bottled in a light bottle? We urge you to spend a little extra time looking over the auction wines and wish you luck from 8 pm on Sunday.

Kind regards
