Two auctions on the same day

This time, we are holding two wine auctions on the same day, as, once again, we are in the lucky position of being able to offer a large consignment of wine on favourable terms. One of the auctions therefore features 242 lots from leading producers in Piemonte, Burgundy and chateaux in Bordeaux. All of these lots are being sold with full VAT, but their start prices have been kept right down.

Please note that these wines are being stored externally and cannot therefore be collected until Thursday 15 December.

Very rare vintages of Latour and Mouton

Initially, however, we are looking at over 300 lots primarily from private cellars.  Vintage 1917 is extremely rare, even at auction! But this time, you have the opportunity to taste two different Premier Cru wines from this now mature vintage. Bottled at the chateau, Château Latour is a fine specimen, despite the poor condition of its label. The two bottles of Mouton Rothschild were not bottled at the chateau, but have maintained a good level in the hand-blown bottles. Though there is little of the wax seal left, these remain wonderful and particularly exciting treats.

A land of milk and honey for those with a sweet tooth

Christmas is almost upon us – a time of year synonymous with port and other sweet wines. And thankfully our shelves are well stocked with just that. Whether you are on the lookout for whole crates of Vintage Port in classic vintages, specialities from the South of France from Banyuls or Rivesaltes dating right back to 1945, Chateau d'Yquem from as far back as 1946 or the South African Vin de Constance from Klein Constantia.
