Art from the Danish Golden Age

Fine works by such artists as Jens Juel, C.W.Eckersberg, J.Th. Lundbye, Vilhelm Marstrand, C.F.Sørensen, P.S.Krøyer, Paul Fischer and Johannes Larsen will be under the hammer.

The collection is a small select part of a larger collection of 500 works, which has been collected by the late owner over half a century. The collection was presented in a major article in volume 5 of the "Antik & Auktion" magazine in 2004. 

In addition, the auction contains several fine works of art and antiques stemming from the private collection of a Danish manor house and from several estates and claimants. The works of art on offer include fine and excellent works by Kristian Zahrtmann, Anna Ancher, Michael Ancher, H.A.Brendekilde, Peder Mønsted, Wenzel Tornøe, Oluf Høst, Edvard Weie, Karl Isakson, Jens Søndergaard, Robert Jacobsen and J.F.Willumsen.

A total of 1200 lots will be on offer for a total estimate of EUR 2,6 million, and the items are some of the finest ever offered by Bruun Rasmussen in Vejle.
