Outstanding Gudmund Olsen

Auction No. 1008 features the last part of outstanding paintings by artists Gudmund Olsen from a private collection.

Gudmund Olsen (1913-1985) settled in Paris in the years following World War II. Here he developed his characteristic vivid Constructivist style. 

The works on auction cover a period of 30 years of the artist’s oeuvre – from 1954 to 1984, from his time in Paris to Røsnæs on Sealand in Denmark – and document his continued experimentation with colours, layers and volumes in well balanced and resolved compositions.
