This lithographic poster was made after a linocut by Picasso to advertise a show in Sweden, which was held in 1973. The work was not lithographed by Picasso but by Henri Descamps, who was the Masterprinter at Mourlot Freres who was assigned to work with Picasso on all the prints made by Mourlot. The work was overseen by Picasso who authorised his printed signature to be put on it.
The original Linocut, for which this is the prototype is found in Bloch nr. 1148.
