Ole Kreutzmann a.o. (b. Grønland 1898, d. 1983)

A selection of Greenlandic tusk and bone artefacts, comprising walrus tusk with part of the upper jaw, carved with animals and inscription “Egedesminde 1948”. H. 42.5 cm; carved walrus figurine of an enuit. Signed O.K. H. 11 cm; bone brooch in shape of a polar bear and necklace of polished bone beads. Brooch H. 2. W. 4 cm; a tusk letter knife. L. 19.5 cm; part of a leather strap with hanging tiny figurines of animals and hunters. Mid 20th century. (6)

This lot is subject to Artist's Royalty.
Condition

Walrus tusk turned partly brown, do not stand on it's own. Figurine has cracks and damages by the foot. Letter knife with repair and nick at the point. Leather dried out and broken.

Several countries outside the EU (third countries) ban import of items containing materials from endangered species.
