Hans J. Wegner (b. Tønder 1914, d. Gentofte 2007)

Easy chair with rosewood legs, upholstered with cognac coloured leather. Variant of the MOA chair. Manufactured by PP Møbler.

In 1981, Hans J. Wegner designed a chair as a special order for the MOA / Museum of Art in Japan. The chair was designed with black leather attached with brass son and wooden handle in the armrest. Subsequently, Wegner made a variant of the MOA chair with loose cushion instead of solid padding. This variant featured PP Furniture at the Furniture Fair in the Bella Center made of ash with light skins. Source: Marianne Wegner and PP Furniture.

This example with rosewood legs has only been made in very few examples.
