Constantin Hansen (b. Rome 1804, d. Frederiksberg 1880)

“Athene, fulgt af Sejersgudinden Nike, tvistes med Poseidon om Besiddelsen af Attika”. Pallas Athene, followed by the goddess of victory Nike, disputes with Poseidon about the possession of Attica. Composition. Study for a painting in the vestibule in the University of Copenhagen. 1851–52. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 40×55 cm.
