Erik Kollin (, St. Petersburg 1896-1901)

A pair of Russian diamond and enamel double cufflinks with hangers, each button set with an old-cut diamond surrounded by translucent red enamel on a guilloched sunrise ground, mounted in 14k gold. Workmaster Erik Kollin, assayer Jacob Liapunov in St. Petersburg 1896–1901, 56 standard, scratched inventory no. 1228. Diam. 1.4 cm. L. 2.5 cm. (2).

Erik Kollin (1836–1901) became workmaster in 1868 at August Holmström's workshop in St. Petersburg, where he also opened his own workshop in 1870. Erik Kollin worked for August Holmström and Carl Fabergé, and he was in charge of all Fabergé workshops until 1886.
