Bjørn Wiinblad (b. Copenhagen 1918, d. 2006)

A three-branch earthenware candlestick modelled in the shape of a centaur. The surface partly with embossed relief decor. Decorated with transparent greyish blue glaze with bluish violet elements. Marked monogram, signed -74, Danmark. H. 48.5 cm. W. max. 31.5 cm. The inner diam. of candle holder ca. 2.5 cm.

Condition

Normal patina due to age and use, including scratches and marks. The base has an irregularity to the earthenware mass, this is glazed on top, and so it originates from the making.
