This topographically interesting motif is painted by carpenter and cooper Niels Jørgensen, who visited New York in 1887, 1894 and 1895.
Provenance: The Foss family, Dragør for three generations. Niels Jørgensen gave the painting to cabinetmaker and building worker Carl Peter Foss. Bruun Rasmussen auction 886, 2019 no. 200.
Minor crackles. A few retouches and minimal peelings. In need of a light surface cleaning and a slight tightening.
