Proveniens: Nuværende ejers farfar boede en årrække i Letland, hvor han erhvervede maleriet direkte fra kunstneren.Provenance: The grandfather of the present owner lived in Latvia for a number of years. Here he acquired the painting directly from the artist.
Not relined. UV-light shows no retouched or overpainted spots. There are a few tiny spots of dirt and the surface looks a little dry: Needs celaning and a new layer of varnish.The signaature is very readable - please see images.
