In 1955 Helge Vestergaard Jensen presented four new models at the Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition made respectively by Cabinetmakers Peder Pedersen and Thysen Nielsen. In these four models (the “Racket Chair”, a dining chair, a low lounge chair and a daybed) Vestergaard Jensen had experimented with the use of nylon string.

The untraditional combination of nylon and wood illustrated the dichotomy of the union of a finely crafted wooden frame and the more industrial nylon material. Stripping the furniture of their heavy and sometimes clumsy upholstery made them appear light and visually delicate like sculptures.
