Gertrud Vasegaard (b. Rønne 1913, d. 2007)

Two oval stoneware dishes. Decorated with blue glazed geometric decor and lines. The upper edges brown glazed. The smaller dish incised monogram for Gertrud Vasegaard. The larger dish signed monogram for Gertrud Vasegaard as well as workshop monogram. Unique. H. ca. 5.5 cm. W. resp. 21 and 22.7 cm. L. resp. circa 21.7 and 24 cm. (2)

Provenance: Originates from the private collection of Hanne and Torben Valeur. Acquired directly from Gertrud Vasegaard's workshop studio in the 1960s.

Condition

Smallest bowl: Inside with a blotch/discoloration from the process of making. Largest dish: Side/rim with a 4 cm. vertical fine line crack (visible from the inside and outside). Underside's rim with two small chips - only visible if viewed from the underside. (Examined with UV-light).
