At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival a young Bob Dylan at the age of 24 played a signicant concert. For the first time, he performed a set on electric guitar. This resulted in him being booed off the stage, and it ended up being a pivotal moment in Dylan's since long career as a singer-songwriter. He did not return to the festival until 2002.
In the Broadside and Agora issues comprised in this lot, there are articles on Dylans performance during the concert on this night in July of 1965.
