A three strand pearl necklace set with numerous cultured Akoya pearls and a sapphire and diamond clasp set with a large cabochon sapphire encircled by four old-cut diamonds weighing a total of app. 0.30 ct., mounted in 14k gold. Sapphire app. 24.5×27×13.9 mm. Pearl diam. app. 5–9 mm. L. 35.5 cm.
The sapphire exhibits some asterism at one side. This is caused by numeros minute needle-like inclusions of the mineral rutile. The needles are arranged in three directions, which causes a six-ray star. Accompanied by case and insurance valuation from Langaard of NOK 275.000,-
Condition
Minor wear due to age and use. Few scratches on clasp, primarily at the back of the clasp.
