A rare pair of Carls Zeiss “revolver” binoculars made between 1896 and 1904 marked CARLS ZEISS JENA D.R.P. on one ocular and MARINE-GLAS REVOLVER VEGR 5 & 10 on the other.
These binoculars are also known as Togo binoculars after the Japanese admiral Togo Heihachiro, as he is depicted with one on the statue of him in Yokosuka.
The eye protector are missing, the leather dameged, a screw is missing on the frame and one ocular har a dent. The optics are clear.
