French iron-mounted percussion pistol (converted from flintlock) dating from c. 1810–20, featuring a sharply curved grip; smooth, screwless lockplate marked “COLOGNE”; adjustable trigger; trigger guard with a shell motif finely carved with an angel and terminating in a vase with swans; an approx. 24 cm long, octagonal, browned barrel (10.5 mm caliber) with micro-rifling and a brazed-on bolster marked “1” on the breech tang. Finely engraved ramrod pipe featuring a shell motif and a hunting scene; includes a wooden ramrod with a horn tip.
