A Danish dessert cutlery of silver with handles of porcelain, decorated in colours and gold with flowers, comprising of 24 forks and 24 knives. Maker Niels Christopher Clausen, licensed Odense 1843-? L. 18.5 and 21 cm. (48)

Provenance: Bishop Christian Thorning Engelstoft (1805–1889), then in the family.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Mounts with small variations. One fork missing the end-finial. Five forks with larger repairs or defekts. Two forks with minor chips. Three knives with loose/askew mounts. Four knives with minor chips/glaze wear.
