Carl Fabergé (, St. Petersburg 1898-1903)

A Russian Fabergé presentation diamond-, enamel- and 14k gold brooch, of lozenge form, centre with the mitre crowned Imperial Russian double-headed eagle, set with a rose-cut diamond, on light purple translucent enamel on guilloched ground, stylized leaf borders. Needle, presumably originally with maker's marks, is missing, but undoubtedly Carl Fabergé in St. Petersburg. Marked on the eyelet for assayer Jacob Liapunov 1898–1903, 56 standard, and furthermore with scratched inventory no., presumably 6421. H. 2.4 cm. L. 2.9 cm.

Condition

Minimal marks and scratches. Needle missing.
